We spent about a half-hour wandering around, looking at the various pieces of equipment, and being very thankful, that these folks are under 5 minutes away from my home!

Later in the evening, I got a Facebook mail from the folks at the station house, asking if they could use the photo I took during the Super Moon for their Facebook profile.

I quickly responding by saying Yes!

I just got the following email! –

I am SO honored to have been chosen the Winner with so many other awesome entries!

For what it is worth, I bought my current tripod, a Bogen (#3020), when I was about 18, which was over 30+ years ago, so I greatly look forward to trying out something more modern!

Open House Citadel Oxford

I am very happy to announce, that the very nice folks at the Citadel Bank in Oxford PA have asked me to be their featured Photographer for my series of Covered Bridges in the Oxford area!

The Open House will be Thursday, October 18th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, and light snacks  and beverages will be served.

The four Covered Bridges to be featured are:

I originally photographed these bridges back in 2010, and since that time, these images have only existed in electronic form, but with this Open House, I finally get to actually print some!

If you are interested in attending, please let me know by October 11th!

Featured – Best of flick on twitter (Belgium)

In doing my morning reading, I got a twit from François Kidd (@giefkai), saying that he had featured my Flickr “Cloud Hunting” images in his Monday Leisure section!

Needless to say, I am honored that some one in Belgium would take interest in some Storm Clouds in Chester County!

But then again, that is the power of the internet!
