Warren Zevon – Hall of Fame?

Warren Zevon is up for the Hall of Fame! (Please Vote!)

I was contact by Timothy Paruszkiewicz a couple of weeks back, and he was thoughtful enough to reach out to ask if he could use some of my 1982 Ithaca College concert photos, and I was happy to say Yes!

Yesterday, I got a link to the video Tim produced – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s5xi5fpXc0

and Yes, the Thumbnail for the video is my shoot!

Thanks again to Timothy Paruszkiewicz for asking and the video looks AWESOME!

If you are a Zevon fan, you will like this video!

and Yes, “his hair was perfect”!

I also realized while writing this Post, that I never said anything about another of my images appearing in the book “Accidentally Like a Martyr: The Tortured Art of Warren Zevon” by James Campion.

One of the most memorable conversations I had with James, was when he said to me, “You now have an image in the Library of Congress.”

Never in my wildest dreams did I think back in 1982, that taking a few pictures at an on campus concert would end up any where else then the school newspaper, and that my hoarding those B&W negatives would ever go anywhere.

Needless to say, keep your film images safe!

Infinity bottle – Rum

A while ago, I read about the concept of an “Infinity bottle” in regards to bourbons, and whiskies.

At this point in time, I have moved to Rums, specifically, dark age rums.

My current “Infinity bottle – Rum” consists of 2 oz each of –

Current –

Unfortunately, I had started down my current Rum path a few shoots before I started this bottle, so I am missing a few.

I also have added a personal number rank and key notes.

In experimenting, I have personally found the following blends rather nice –

  • 50/50 – Plantation O.F.T.D. Rum/Zaya Gran Reserva 16

I also have an idea of my next “Infinity bottle” – “Infinity bottle – Rum XO”!

Could be fun!

What are your thoughts… Let me know.

Intelligent Lazy (IL)

I was in a meeting today, describing a philosophy that I learned years ago and pass along to my co-workers.

The idea of “Intelligent Lazy”.

One of the meeting members, suggested that I “copyright” the term, so goes, and I know there are many more steps, but…

Personal example –

I work in Information Technology, and I have to create scripts to get certain jobs and tasks done.

First round of the script, I just get the Job Done.

I leave Comments/Notes in the script(s) for the future – skills included.

If I get the chance, I sit on it for a while and revisit.

Always tweaking with each visit. [Pro-Tip – Date Your Notes!]

The Hope is, that some time in the future, all you have to do, is open the script, change the fewest “things”/variables to get the Job Done!

Intelligent – Creating the script and tweaking…

Lazy – Fewest changes needed later

Intelligent + Lazy = Intelligent Lazy

At the time of the posting, the is no direct Google search term for “Intelligent Lazy”, but several links to Lazy folks being Intelligent.

Kinda the same, and in the same spirit.

Which sounds better?

“They are Lazy, but Intelligent.”?
vs
“They are Intelligent Lazy.”?

and if this does happen to be a new lexicon, should it be –

“Intelligent Lazy” (c)
“Intelligent-Lazy” (c)
“IntelligentLazy” (c)
“iLazy” (c)

What are your thoughts?
