I wish to dispel a myth…

For years, folks have accused me of NEVER logging off the internet…

I DO!

At LEAST once a week, during the spring, summer and fall!

How is that?

I setup my camera in the far corner of my yard, and used my iPod Touch and TriggerTrap to record the “session”…

Then in Adobe Photoshop CS 5.1, I combined over 30 individual images into a composite, which you see above.

This was very painful, and required a lot of RAM and numerous files… and ‘Yes”, I’m still 32-bit…

But the end result, I have ‘proof’ that I have done ‘work’ outside of the internet!

I am still working on a proposal to ‘off shore’ this task to non-terrestrials…

Abandoned Mill – Part 2

I was in the area, and with this most likely the last snow of the season, I decided to visit the mill.

The last time I had been here, was last summer, and I wondered what had changed.

One of the areas I wanted to find this time, was the “Orange Room”, which I thought I saw on the last visit, but ran out of time to investigate.

As I walked further into the building, I could hear the wind blowing outside, and water dripping from the holes in the roof.

What was very startling, was how close the cars on the road sounded. There where several times, I thought they were driving in the building!

The occasionally, one of the side doors would slam a direction, and scare the hell out of you!

All in all, it was a good trip!

Marsh Creek Spillway – Long Exposure

A series of Long Exposures taken of the Marsh Creek Spillway in Chester County, PA.

My first series of images using my new Triggertrap Mobile – Exposures ranging from 0.4-500 seconds, for HDR post capture processing using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Nik Software – HDR Efex Pro 2.

Lightroom 3 – First Look

Lightroom 3 has been out for about a month now, after being having many of it core components rewritten from the ground up over the past two years, and it shows.

In general, the application is quicker at most common tasks, and can greatly hence most images that it comes in contact with.

Already, I have been able to breath new life in several images because of the enhanced noise reduction algorithms, on images that were shoot with a high ISO speed!

Another area that I have been really taken advantage of, is the built in Publishing Service for Flickr.

In the previous version, one would have to export the desired files, and then bring them into Flickr.

With LR3, after you have connected to Flickr, you just export!

There is no need to create an additional set of files, which saves time and disk space!

Over the course of the long weekend, I have been able to publish many new images to Flickr with great easy, and I invite you to take a look at my Photostream!

There are a ton of new features that have been added or enhanced, and I plan on using and commenting in the future, so stay tuned!
